New Ro-Ro terminal Novaya Gavan at the port of Ust-Luga began accepting regular vessels traffic. These days terminal accepted vessels with Nissan, Infiniti and Mazda vehicles. The first stage area on the Terminal Novaya Gavan is planned to process at least 80 000 vehicles during 2012. This project sets new standards of services provided for OEMs and sets significant optimization of logistic solutions for the entire market.
The vessel Nordic Ace (flag of Bahamas, agent Inflot Worldwide Ferry Services) loaded with Mazda vehicles called at the berth number 1 of Terminal Novaya Gavan on 12 March 2012. The vessel arrived from the port of Zebrugge (Belgium). Dispatch of 1200 vehicles took 8:40 hours.Vehicles unfastening on the vessel carried the staff of the terminal.
On March 9, 2012 the vessel City of Barcelona (flag of the Isle of Man, agent Inflot Worldwide Ferry Services) loaded with Nissan and Infinity vehicles called at the berth number 1 of Terminal Novaya Gavan in the port of Ust-Luga ( the Leningrad Region). The vessel arrived from the port of Newcastle (UK).
The vessel dispatch took 4 hours. Number of received vehicles is 687. Customs clearance was completed within the next day.

In accordance with the Rules for Establishing, Opening, Operation, Reconstruction and Closure of Checkpoints at the State Border of the Russian Federation, approved by Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated June 26, 2008 No. 482 (Collection of Laws of the Russian Federation, 2008, No. 28, art. 3381, 2010, No. 20, art. 2474; No. 42, art. 5381, 2011, No. 21, art. 2981; No. 40, art. 5550), the Rules for Defining Limits of Checkpoints at the State Border of the Russian Federation, approved by Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated April 7, 2008, No. 253 (Collection of Laws of the Russian Federation, 2008, No. 15, art. 1560, 2010, No. 32, art. 4334), Order of the Federal Agency for the Development of the State Border of the Russian Federation dated February 27, 2010, No. 94-OD “On Reconstruction of Sea Freight and Passenger Permanent Multi-Side Checkpoint at the Border of the Russian Federation at the Seaport of Ust-Luga" (registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on March 10, 2010, registration number 16595) and on the basis of the Interdepartmental Commission’s acts dated November 11, 2008, February 10, 2009, November 26, 2009, June 9, 2010, January 27, 2011, August 4, 2011, 24 November, 2011, and January 19, 2012, I hereby order:
1. Open the reconstructed sea freight and passenger multi-side permanent checkpoint at the border of the Russian Federation at the seaport of Ust-Luga within berths Nos. 1 and 2 of the Coal Terminal, the universal transshipment terminal of the first start-up stage, the first and second phase of the second stage of the multi-functional transshipment complex “Yug-2”, the technical sulfur transshipment complex, the train and automobile components of automobile-railway ferry complex, berths Nos. 2, 4 and 5 of the bulk cargo complex, the first phase of the Container Terminal of "Ust-Luga Container Terminal" OJSC and the first phase of the terminal of "Terminal Novaya Gavan" LLC.
2. Amend the appendix to Order of the Federal Agency for Development of the State Border of the Russian Federation dated April 28, 2009, No. 60 “On Opening of Checkpoint at the State Border of the RussianFederation in the Seaport of Ust-Luga” (registered by the Ministry of Justice on May 27, 2009, registration number 14007)1by adding the item "The area of the terminal of "Terminal Novaya Gavan" LLC (first phase)" according to the Appendix.
3. Deem Paragraph 1 of Order of the Federal Agency for the Development of the State Border of the Russian Federation dated December 8, 2011, No. 388-PP "On Opening of the Checkpoint at the Border of the Russian Federation at the Seaport of Ust-Luga" (registered by the Ministry of Justice on December 21, 2011, registration number 22712) ineffective.
